Turmeric ( Curcuma longa ), also known as Indian saffron, is a popular spice plant native to South Asia, most commonly found in powder form. It stands out not only as a signature ingredient in curries and other South Asian dishes, but also plays an important role in Ayurveda for centuries. Its golden-yellow color and characteristic flavor are provided by the polyphenol curcumin, found in the rhizome.
NovaSol® Technology
Curcumin is poorly absorbed and enters the bloodstream with difficulty, partly due to its low water solubility. NovaSol® technology solves this problem. Curcumin encapsulated in micelles becomes water-soluble, thus increasing its bioavailability. Thanks to this technology, absorption is 185 times better compared to native curcumin extract. We supplement this micellar curcumin formula with vitamin D.
